Emerging markets ''attracting more visitors''
Emerging holiday destinations outside Europe are becoming more and more popular, according to experts.
Teletext Holidays stated that consumers in the UK are increasingly opting to visit more exotic locations such as Africa.
Ash Makkar, spokesperson for the organisation, highlighted Morocco as a particularly popular destination, saying that interest in the country has grown "significantly" in recent years.
He commented: "People are becoming more adventurous when it comes to booking a trip abroad."
Teletext Holidays added that Morocco was also proving to be an attractive destination because it offers a relatively low cost of living.
Figures from the group showed that food and drink, including three-course meals and alcoholic beverages, are far less expensive than in Spain.
This could help account for the country''s current popularity among overseas property buyers from the UK, including rental investors.
