The EU-Morocco Association Agreement
The EU-Morocco Association Agreement came into force on the first of March 2000. This Agreement provides for the establishment of free trade between Morocco and the EU by 2012. This free trade area between Morocco and the EU can be seen as a major opportunity for Companies that want to manufacture in Morocco and export to the EU.
At the Moment 70 % of the Moroccan export goes to the EU. France is the most dominant trade-partner at the moment followed by Spain. Also the trade between Morocco and the US is increasing due to the bilateral Free Trade Agreement (FTA).
