The Views, Tangiers Why we chose Morocco...

About Saidia

Saidia is famous for its kilometres of beautiful beaches and its fabulous sunshine with a gentle climate even in winter. This historical destination is a year round retreat and a unique holiday resort.
The Moroccan government has presented “Vision 2010” as Morocco’s national tourism strategy.

It’s aim is to put into place the amenities and infrastructure to attract 10 million tourists to

Morocco’s coastline and help create 600,000 jobs in the tourism industry by 2010. Termed “Azur Plan” projects, this involves the creation of 6 exclusive golf and leisure resorts.

In Mediterrania Saidia, you have the opportunity to invest in the very first of these projects. Mediterrania Saidia is also the only development on the magnificent Mediterranean Coast, the other 5 Azur projects will all be on the Atlantic Coast. The resort is built on a 7,000,000m2 area of land, right beside the beach, stretching for 6km of untouched coastline. Set to become one of the world’s greatest tourist locations, the resort’s white beaches, pristine golf courses and exotic surroundings are just 3 hours from the UK, 2 hours from Paris and only a 1 hour hop from Madrid.

The hotels, riads, villas and luxury apartments set within Mediterrania Saidia, Morocco’s first Azur plan development, wind their way through championship golf courses, just metres from the shoreline and miles of strolling promenade.

Resort Facilities include:

  • Promenade with 17 beach clubs
  • 3 championship golf courses
  • Marina with 840 mooring points
  • Diving and sailing centre

Mediterranean Saidia and “Vision 2010”

The first of the Azur Plan developments to be launched and the only one on the Mediterranean Coast.

Over the next five years Morocco will experience considerable change in line with the Azur Plan. The government’s £2.2 billion strategy will increase tourism from approx 4.5 million visitors to 10 million visitors by 2010. The infrastructure development program which underpins “Vision 2010” also implies and guarantees a high degree of convergence between the requirements for and Morocco’s commitment to top class standards. This strategy has already begun to bear fruit. Since the launch of “Vision 2010,” more than 20,000 new hotel beds have already come on the market and thousands of others have been renovated.

In 2010, Morocco will have more than 250,000 hotel beds, including 180,000 located in or around the cities. Under Azur Plan six new seaside resorts (5 on the Atlantic coast and 1 on the Mediterranean) will provide a total of more than 40,000 hotel beds.
