Why we chose Tangiers
- The close proximity to the Tangier Royal Golf Club and the Royal Golf Club of Cabo Negro, make it a popular region
- It’s position is within a close distance of the Tangiers hydrofoil and ferry port and the airports of both Tangiers and Tetouan (currently being renovated).
- Ryanair has committed to establishing up to 20 routes and to carrying close to one million passengers per annum on flights to Morocco – (source: www.ryanair.com)
- 300,000 passenger arrivals through Tangiers airport in 2007
- The new Tetouan Free Port – similar to Emaar’s Dubai Marina project, is currently being constructed at an impressive pace.
- Major road building projects in the region are underway, including upgrading the Tangiers-Tetouan coastal motorway.
- Morocco’s tourism industry is already booming, and is poised to really take off as the vision 2010 plans come to fruition – the area surrounding Alcudia Smir, known as the Golden Mile will undoubtedly stand out as the most exclusive area, most advantageously placed and most profitable of all regions.
- Nights stays in 2007 – 777,000; 2006 745,000
- Occupancy Rate – 37%. This is set to rise exponentially in line with the massive development in the area.
